Our Customer Process

From your vision to a flawless installation, every step guided.

At Granite Works Stone Design, our process is all about combining premium material selection with expert craftsmanship—delivered through a polished, client-first experience.

1. Discovery & Design

Start your journey by visiting our showroom or connecting with our team. We’ll help you explore stone options like quartz, granite, quartzite, and porcelain, while also discussing your vision, design preferences, and functionality needs. Our experienced team will guide you through edge profiles, backsplash preferences, and any important project considerations to help bring your ideas to life.

2. Scope & Quote

To provide the most accurate and comprehensive quote, we request project drawings and/or dimensions from you or your contractor. You’ll receive an all-inclusive quote covering templating, fabrication, installation, and material. We walk through the proposal together and answer any questions and ensure alignment before moving forward.

3. Confirm & Schedule

Once your quote has been approved, your project is scheduled in our timeline—typically 7–10 business days to template after deposit and material reservation, followed by around 10 more business days to install once we have received final project approval. We stay in close touch to coordinate final arrangements and what is needed at each process step.

4. Template & Measure

Our technician visits your site to gather precise measurements and placement details. We use a digital templating system to create a highly accurate digital model of your countertop area. This modern method eliminates the guesswork and inconsistencies of traditional templates, ensuring a precise fit for your project. We always require cabinets to be level, secured, and prepped – and your plumbing accessories available for our review. If needed, our team can answer any design
or fit clarification during this step.

5. Template Review

Before production begins, we review all project details with you—including updates, any remaining design decisions, and seam or cutout confirmations. At this stage, you’ll also receive a digital layout of your countertops to approve prior to fabrication.

6. Fabrication

In our Westlake facility, slabs are inspected, cut using advanced CNC and waterjet equipment, edged, polished, and assembled according to your specs. We take care to follow your approved layout and design specifications with attention to every detail.

7. Installation

Your installation crew arrives in uniform with branded trucks and cleaned tools. Appointments are confirmed beforehand and you will be notified when our team is on their way to your home. Stone is positioned carefully, seams are checked, and surfaces are cleaned and sealed. Final inspection ensures everything meets our quality standards. We aim to leave your space clean and ready to enjoy. Granite Works Stone Design does not disconnect or reconnect plumbing, electrical, or gas lines. Please make arrangements with a licensed professional. We recommend reconnection 24 hours after your installation.

8. Care & Support

You’ll receive a branded care kit with cleaning products and maintenance tips tailored to your stone type. Our team is always here to answer questions and ensure your countertops stay beautiful for years to come.
